The Company: Riverside Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Class 2 Driver on behalf of our client, based at their Carlisle depot. They are the UK’s leading fitted furniture and wardrobe specialist, creating bespoke made to order pieces.
The Role: Immediate Start. The working day starts at 5am, standard 9 hour day, with runs/days running longer depending on delivery locations, with approximately 4-5 deliveries per day. Our client is a much-loved brand, and due to an increase in demand, we are looking for Class 2 Drivers to support their busy operation based in Carlisle, delivering all over the North. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity with an excellent working environment and supportive team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for delivering fitted furniture and wardrobes, carrying into customers' homes.
- As a Class 2 Driver, you will be an integral part of the business, spending a lot of time working in a team of 2 or 3 on the road.
- We are looking for drivers with a ‘can-do & friendly’ attitude as interaction with our customers is all part of the service.
- You will be responsible for maintaining the security of the load and the condition of the vehicle.
- This is a physically demanding role, with heavy loads in and out of properties, so being fit and well is a must.
Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- All candidates must have held their Class 2 licence for 1 year.
- Minimum age 21.
- Experience in Class 2 vehicle.
- Valid in-date CPC.
- No more than 6 points on licence (licence checks will apply).
- No more than 12 Tacho infringements.
