Hours: 8.30am-5pm

Contract: Permanent

Salary: 25K - 35K

Do you come from an engineering manufacturing background? Do you have a relevant qualification in 2D detail drawing? Have you broad knowledge of various manufacturing processes? We have a permanent position available for the right candidate to join an expanding company in the town of Radstock.

Information about the job role:

  • You will be an essential part of the manufacturing design team accountable for the product in the nature of the company.
  • Manufacturing drawings of the company’s products ready for external designers.
  • Ensure all drawings are maintained and up to date.
  • Implement change requests using ERP software.
  • You will be responsible for the design and development of processes, using a mix of Autodesk 2D and AutoCAD.
  • You will be working alongside other management staff reporting progress on a regular basis.

To be considered you will:

  • Have all aspects of 3D modelling using Autodesk Inventor (or similar) and AutoCAD with 2D detail drawing.
  • Have knowledge of working with an ERP system.
  • Be able to work to deadlines with a hands-on approach.
  • Have previous experience in manufacturing, interiors, and construction.
  • Be qualified in Mechanical Design and have an understanding of fabrication, parts, and assembly techniques.
  • Support design configuration work with engineering skills and input according to assignment.
  • Be competent to use Microsoft Office.
  • Have the ability to self-motivate, organise, and manage own activities and projects.
  • Be able to understand and apply commercially sensible financial decisions.
  • Preferably hold NVQ Level 3 (ONC) or NVQ Level 4 (HNC) in Mechanical Design or a similar technical discipline.
