Job Description: The Ministry of Defence (MOD) is seeking an organised, efficient, and proactive Admin Assistant to join our team at Longtown. As an integral part of the administrative team, you will provide vital support across various areas of the department, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. You will be responsible for general administrative tasks, managing communications, and assisting with health and safety documentation. Key Responsibilities: General Administration: Assist with a range of administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and document management. Prepare and process routine correspondence and reports. Organise and schedule appointments, meetings, and events. Ensure office supplies and equipment are maintained and replenished. Phone and Email Management: Answer incoming phone calls in a professional manner and direct them to the appropriate personnel. Respond to emails and other inquiries, providing accurate and timely information when required. Health and Safety Documentation: Assist with maintaining and updating health and safety records. Support the completion of health and safety reports and documentation as per MOD regulations. Ensure compliance with all health and safety protocols and assist with audits when necessary.Requirements: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficient in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite). Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Experience in an administrative or office support role is preferred but not essential.
