Are you an experienced leader in meat processing or food production? We are seeking a dedicated Site Manager to take charge of operations at a well-established, local abattoir. Key Responsibilities: – Lead day-to-day operations of the abattoir ensuring compliance with all regulatory and food safety standards – Manage and motivate a skilled team, promoting a safe and productive working environment – Oversee throughput, yields, costs, and efficiency across the site – Ensure high standards of animal welfare, hygiene, and traceability – Liaise with suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies – Drive continuous improvement across all aspects of the site What We’re Looking For: – Proven experience in abattoir or meat processing management – Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills – In-depth knowledge of food safety (HACCP), health & safety, and compliance regulations – Animal Welfare. – Ability to work under pressure and meet operational targets – A hands-on and solution-oriented approach Package: – Competitive salary up to £70,000 per annum – Opportunity to lead a respected local business – Supportive working environment with long-term prospects – Attractive pension and other benefits 📌 This is a Monday – Friday operation, however a flexible approach will be required in the event of meeting suppliers during a weekend if needed.
