Riverside Nursery Schools are looking for a

Deputy Head (Montessori Qualified) to join their team in St Margaret's Montessori.

This role is to be worked 40 hours per week, year-round.

This role would suit anybody that has experience as an Early Years Teacher, Deputy Head.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Level 3 Montessori Pedagogy qualification (or other full and relevant Montessori qualification)
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children
  • Paediatric First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation governing childcare (e. g., Safeguarding)

Duties

  • Provide high-quality care and Montessori education to children aged 2-5
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
  • Observe and assess children's development, identifying any areas of concern
  • Collaborate with parents and other staff members to support children's individual needs
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development
  • Ensure the nursery is clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times
  • Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of all children
