An exciting opportunity to join our teaching team has become available! We invite experienced tutors to apply for the position of Piano Tutor.
The RMC Academy is a community-centred hub for musical learning, based at Riverside Music College in Busby, south of Glasgow. We offer a diverse range of one-to-one and group music lessons, instrument-specific workshops, and masterclasses for all ages and ability levels. Our students benefit from modern, purpose-built facilities. As a registered Trinity, ABRSM, and RSL examination centre, we provide unrivalled support to students working towards grades.
Requirements:
- We seek experienced tutors with knowledge of music theory and applied music theory.
- You must be capable of following and designing structured teaching plans for all competency levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced) applicable to one-to-one, group, instrument-specific workshops, and online sessions.
- You should be comfortable teaching all age groups and clients with additional support needs.

- Competency in teaching various exam syllabuses such as:
- ABRSM
- Trinity - Rock & pop
- Trinity Piano syllabus
- LCM keyboard syllabus
- LCM Piano syllabus
- Rock School Classical piano syllabus
- Rock School Keyboard syllabus
- SQA/Diploma level exams
- Additionally, a good knowledge of different styles & genres, such as Rock, Pop, Jazz, Reggae, Blues, R&B, Funk, Soul, Classical, Traditional, Folk, Country, Hard Rock, Indie, is desirable.
