A vibrant town centre training practice seeking to recruit a Salaried GP, working up to 8 sessions alongside our friendly, experienced team. We offer a competitive salary-BMA compatible starting at £11,410 per session, which may be higher depending on your experience and skills. Flexible working considered.
We are a training practice set in the heart of a fabulous town, having moved to our amazing purpose-built building in 2020. Our town centre location is within a 5 minute's walk of Shrewsbury indoor market, which has been voted Britain's favourite indoor market on four occasions. Shrewsbury has been cited in The Times newspapers list of 10 best places to live 2025, with proximity to wonderful countryside, a formidable food scene, and good local state schools.
We are Skilled Worker Visa (Tier 2 visa) sponsorship licence approved.
Main duties of the job:
- We are an innovative team, keen to try out new ways of working.
- Regularly adapting how we work to make our jobs as GPs more sustainable and enjoyable.
- Exciting initiatives include AccuRx digital triage through our in-house duty hub and outsourcing our daily medicines management work.
- Looking at ways to improve continuity for both patients and GPs.
- Minimising administrative work through effective workflow and the triage of pathology results (typically 7-10 letters a day and 7-10 results).
About us: Riverside is a large training practice in the centre of Shrewsbury with an excellent reputation for teaching medical students from Keele and providing support.
