  • Previous experience of working that is relevant to mental health
  • Experience working in community settings therapeutically, including assessments, designing interventions and demonstrating outcomes.
  • Experience of developing clinical interventions for both staff and customers.
  • Basic level of IT skills
  • Knowledge of the Housing, Care and Support Sectors
  • Knowledge and understanding of up to date legislation and government frameworks relevant to mental health
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of issues affecting individuals relevant to mental health 
  • Sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures for adults and children

  • Taking the management lead in offering a broad range of support to people with mental health and complex needs; helping them sustain their homes and to live in the community.
  • Recruiting, supporting and supervising staff, setting and demanding professional standards of working.
  • Overseeing and developing effective working relationships with partners and commissioners, ensuring that Riverside is contract compliant and a positive reputation of the service is maintained
  • Ensuring the delivery of a quality service which reflects best practice and adheres to all relevant legislation, policies, procedures and performance standards.
  • To provide the customer with relevant clinical input commensurate with the qualification held, i.e. RMN or other clinical qualification.
  • To provide leadership and line management, supervision and appraisal to designated support staff. 
  • To design and carry out training for staff as required, especially in the area of disseminating good practice within this specialist field.
  • To use a flexible, responsive management style to resolve conflict, solve problems, elicit performance and motivate, support and direct staff.
  • To ensure regular team meetings are held and staff informed of the organisation’s strategic goals.
  • To hold day to day responsibility for rota cover and staff deployment.
  • To performance manage staff; including setting targets, monitoring and taking action to address such issues.
  • To ensure staff are empowered to take responsibility and to work in a way that is imaginative and responsive to the needs of customers, facilitating effective customer participation, consultation and feedback.To ensure that Medication…
