We are seeking a dedicated Childrens Emotional Wellbeing Support Worker to join a family-oriented team in providing compassionate support to children aged 5-17.
This nurturing home provides a therapeutic environment for up to 2 children who require support for their social, emotional and educational needs, largely due to past histories of ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences). The home itself is in a beautiful rural setting, surrounded by fields and not far from the bustling coastline. It also boasts a large garden, the perfect place to encourage children to participate in a wide range of activities, such as outdoor play and holistic development in order to promote emotional well-being, resilience, and confidence.
With a strong emphasis on building trusting relationships and promoting a family home setting, the dedicated staff team offers consistent, child-centred support tailored to each young persons individual needs. Children living in this home have been here for a number of years and will only move on for positive steps forward in their lives. By utilising therapeutic methods of care such as PACE and therapeutic parenting, you and your team will ensure children feel safe, understood, and emotionally supported, enabling them to process past experiences in a supportive space.
As a Childrens Residential Emotional Wellbeing Support Worker, you will play a key role in ensuring the children receive high-quality support in their day-to-day lives. You will oversee tasks and contribute to the smooth running of each day. You will also support with care planning and risk assessments, contribute to team meetings, and act as a positive role model for both young people and colleagues. Working collaboratively with external professionals, families, and education providers, you will help ensure that each childs voice is heard and that their individual needs and aspirations are central to the care provided.
Salary: £30,000-£34,900
Rota: A combination of shifts that can include evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins

Role of a Childrens Emotional Wellbeing Support Worker

Requirements of a Childrens Emotional Wellbeing Support Worker
- Must hold a Level 3 or 4 Residential Childcare qualification (or equivalent)
- Must hold a full UK Manual Driving License and have access to a vehicle
- Prior experience supporting children with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
- Must have an excellent understanding of safeguarding
- Experience using PACE and other therapeutic models would be an advantage
- Flexibility to work to a rota pattern including long days, some weekends, and sleep-ins
