We are seeking a Childrens Residential SEN Registered Manager to join a passionate company, opening a new home in Hull. This exciting opportunity would lend itself to an experienced Registered Manager looking for a new challenge. (If an experienced Deputy Manager has played a key part in opening a new home previously their application could be considered).
The Responsible Individual is highly experienced in the sector having run their own Ofsted rated Good homes previously. This cosy, welcoming home has lots of potential to offer as an excellent home for 2 children with SEN and or physical disabilities. With a garden space for outdoor activities you will be able to use your imagination and set this home up beautifully to accommodate the children and young people holistically.
At the heart of this company the Director is passionate and dedicated to offering the best quality of care to the children and young people. They are looking for someone with excellent knowledge within the sector, such as The Childrens Homes Regulations, Ofsted, Reg 44, Safeguarding, Safer Recruitment, the referral and matching process and much more.
Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 depending on experience and qualifications
Hours: Monday - Friday (on-call responsibilities required)

Role of a Childrens Residential SEN Registered Manager:
- Manage the day-to-day running of the home
- Maintain a warm, welcoming, family-like environment
- Support the team in providing excellent care for children with complex needs
- Hold excellent knowledge of legislation and policy including the Childrens Homes Regulations, Childrens Act etc
- Take a lead on the referral and matching process
- Support with the recruitment and development of your team
- Provide ad hoc training and conduct staff supervisions
- Lead team meetings, ensuring support is consistent across the team
- Manage the finances and budgeting within the home
- Support and build your staff's confidence to ensure positive outcomes
- Delegate tasks and lead by example
- Maintain excellent safeguarding policies at all times
- Liaise with social workers, teachers, medical professionals, and families
- Oversee Ofsted inspections and Reg 44 visits
Requirements of a Childrens Residential SEN Registered Manager:
- Ideally have experience of holding a registration with Good or Outstanding reports
- Must have experience working with ASD, LD, PMLD or complex needs
- Must hold a Level 3 or 4 Residential Childcare qualification
- Ideally, hold a Level 5 in Leadership and Management qualification
- Ideally be a driver with a valid UK Driving License
- Experience and qualifications to meet in line with Regulation 28
- Have an excellent understanding of the Childrens Home Regulations, SCCIF, Working Together to Safeguard Children, The Childrens Act etc
