Are you experienced and qualified in residential childcare and looking for your next meaningful opportunity? We are seeking a Senior Therapeutic EBD Support Worker to work in a 3 bed home located on the beautiful outskirts of Wolverhampton. The home has been renovated to a high standard with homely touches to ensure the children and young people feel safe and nurtured. The home is proud to hold an Ofsted rating of Good, showcasing the team's ability to provide high-quality support.
As a Senior Therapeutic EBD Support Worker, you will play a key role in ensuring the children receive high-quality support. You will lead by example, overseeing the team, and contributing to the smooth running of each shift. You will guide staff in upholding best practices that align with the company policies and procedures as well as Children's Homes Regulations and safeguarding standards.
Salary: £32,500 - £35,500 (Depending on experience and qualifications)
Rota: 2 days on 4 days off (Including sleep-ins)

Role of a Senior Therapeutic EBD Support Worker:
- Foster strong, trusting relationships with young people through positive engagement
- Delegate responsibilities effectively, providing clear direction and support to your team
- Contribute to the care plans and risk assessments for each child, making sure information stays up-to-date and maintained
- Liaise with families, teachers, social workers, therapists, and external professionals
- Support children in building independence through life skill development and positive daily routines
- Support and de-escalate any behaviours that challenge, and understand the reasons for them
- Encourage and model a culture of respect, inclusion, and high-quality care among the team
- Maintain a therapeutic and trauma-informed environment that supports each child's well-being
Requirements of a Senior EBD Residential Support Worker:
- Have a true passion for providing children with positive outcomes
- Must hold a Level 3 or 4 Residential Childcare qualification (or equivalent)
- Must have prior experience supporting children in a residential setting
- Must be a driver with a full UK driving licence
- Be able to work a 2 on 4 off rota pattern (including sleep-ins)
