Rivers & Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a Project Manager for water resource engineering projects. Candidates are responsible for project planning, grant & loan applications, hydraulic modeling/analysis, preparation of engineering reports, final design, and providing bidding & construction administration services.

Typical projects for our Municipal, County or Utility clients include water & sewer mains, pumping stations, storage tanks, wells, water treatment facilities and wastewater treatment facilities.

The ideal candidate for a Project Manager position will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with N.C. Professional Engineer’s license and 10 or more years of water and wastewater design experience. A Master’s degree is a plus for candidates working on water and wastewater plant projects.

Project Managers are routinely responsible for:

  • Client management
  • Project/funding development
  • Managing multiple projects through the design, permitting, bidding and construction phases
  • Managing a team of engineers, CAD designers/drafters, and Construction Inspectors
  • Establishing engineering budgets and writing contracts
  • Invoicing
  • Meeting financial goals and business expectations
