Hours: AM Shift (5:45 start) Monday-Friday

Base location: 56 Craigmore Road, Garvagh

Due to our continual growth, we are looking to appoint a Driver Helper to join our busy Logistics Team. This role will be based out of the Garvagh depot. As an AM shift driver’s helper, you will start at 5:45am based from Garvagh site, Monday to Friday, with Saturdays required, on a rota basis.

Role & Responsibilities

  • To provide assistance to the Driver at all times
  • Obtain all necessary documentation for the daily runs to ensure efficient operation of the business activities
  • Check customer routing for the daily runs, prioritising workloads to ensure all customer commitments are achieved
  • Provide excellent customer service that supports the RiverRidge brand
  • Due to the physical nature of the role, you will be required to collect and move commercial containers
  • Ensure all electronic paperwork is completed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Ensure Health & Safety adherence at all times
  • Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Any other duties as delegated by the Transport Department.

Requirements

  • Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence (Max 6 penalty points)
  • Good Geographical knowledge of NI
  • Good Communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Experience in dealing with customers and members of the public
  • Ability to work well with others / Team Player
  • Must be able to apply Manual Handling techniques
  • Flexible approach to working hours to include weekends and Bank Holidays
  • Previous experience working in a similar role
  • Previous experience working within the Transport Sector
