HGV Drivers (Category: 'CE')
Our Ref: HGV/CE/01/26/ Permanent/ Full Time
Hours: Minimum 40 hours per week
Base Location: 91 Moy Road, Portadown
Roles & Responsibilities
- Excellent customer service skills that support the RiverRidge Brand
- Ensure Health & Safety adherence at all times
- Complete vehicle checks in line with Operating licence procedures, reporting any defects to the Transport Office (both electronically and verbally)
- Following all regulations relating to driver's hours and safe operation of heavy goods vehicles
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Any other duties as delegated by the Transport Department
Essential Criteria
- Must hold a valid HGV licence 'CE', Digital Tachograph card and Full Driver CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence)
- Minimum of 1 year's HGV (Class CE) driving experience
- Full UK Driving Licence (Max 6 penalty points)
- Good Geographical knowledge of NI
- Good Knowledge of driver's hours, rules and regulations
- Must be able to apply Manual Handling techniques & undertake manual work
- Flexible approach to working hours including weekday, weekends & Bank holidays will be required
- Good Communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Previous experience working in the waste industry

Any offer of employment will be subject to a successful driving assessment and obtaining any necessary security clearances as deemed applicable for the post. Please note, basic disclosure checks i.e., Access NI, will be required for this post. Must be able to provide documentation to confirm your eligibility to work in the UK.
