The predicted salary is between 15 - 16 £ per hour.
Due to our continual growth, we are looking for HGV Drivers (Category CE) to join our busy Transport division at our depot in Portadown.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service that supports the RiverRidge Brand
- Ensure Health & Safety adherence at all times
- Complete vehicle checks in line with Operating licence procedures, reporting any defects to the Transport Office (both electronically and verbally)
- Following all regulations relating to driver’s hours and safe operation of heavy goods vehicles
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Any other duties as delegated by the Transport Department
Skills and Qualifications
- Must hold a valid HGV licence ‘CE’, Digital Tachograph card and Full Driver CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence)
- Full UK Driving Licence (Max 6 penalty points)
- Minimum of 1 year’s HGV (Class CE) driving experience
- Good Geographical knowledge of NI
- Good knowledge of drivers hours, rules and regulations
- Must be able to apply Manual Handling techniques & undertake manual work
- Flexible approach to working hours including weekday, weekends & bank holidays will be required
- Good communication skills - verbal and written
- Previous experience working in the waste industry
Further Information
- Overtime rate of time and a half for hours worked over 44 hours Monday to Friday
- Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday also paid time and a half
- Annual performance bonus scheme available
