We are currently looking for HGV Drivers (C) to join our busy teams at our site in Portadown. As a Driver you will be required to complete multi drop deliveries and collections throughout NI. The Driver will also be required to collect and move commercial containers when required.As a day shift driver, you will start at 06.30am, Monday to Friday, with Saturdays required, on a rota basis.
Responsibilities
- Ensure excellent customer service skills that support the RiverRidge brand.
- Ensure Health and Safety adherence at all times.
- Complete vehicle checks in line with operating licence procedures, reporting any defects to the Transport Office (both electronically and verbally).
- Follow all regulations relating to driver’s hours and safe operation of heavy goods vehicles.
- Working collaboratively with the transport team to ensure excellent operational service is maintained, and continually improved.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Undertake all necessary training and cooperate with the security clearance process as required.
- Any other duties as delegated by the Transport Department.
Skills and Qualifications
- Must hold a valid HGV licence – Category ‘C’.
- Must hold a Digital Tachograph card and Full Driver CPC.
- Full UK Driving Licence (Max of 6 penalty points).
- Basic disclosure checks i.e., Access NI, will be required and should be maintained.
- Ability to undertake manual work.
- Good communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Good knowledge of driver’s hours, rules, and regulations.
- Minimum of 6 months\’ HGV driving experience.
- Previous experience working in the waste industry.
