We are currently looking for full time/ part time HGV Drivers (C) to join our busy teams at our site in Mallusk or Duncrue Street, Belfast. As a Driver you will be required to complete multi drop deliveries and collections throughout NI. The Driver will also be required to collect and move commercial containers when required.As a day shift driver, you will start your shift at 05.30am, on days as per the rota between Monday to Saturday.
Responsibilities
- Ensure excellent customer service skills that support the RiverRidge Brand
- Ensure Health & Safety adherence at all times
- Complete vehicle checks in line with Operating licence procedures, reporting any defects to the Transport Office (both electronically and verbally)
- Follow all regulations relating to driver’s hours and safe operation of heavy goods vehicles
- Working collaboratively with the transport team to ensure excellent operational service is maintained, and continually improved
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Undertake all necessary training, & cooperate with the security clearance process as required
- Any other duties as delegated by the Transport Department
Skills and Qualifications
- Must hold a valid HGV licence – Category ‘C’,
- Must hold a Digital Tachograph card and Full Driver CPC
- Full UK Driving Licence (Max of 6 penalty points)
- Basic disclosure checks i.e., Access NI, will be required and should be maintained
- Ability to undertake manual work
- Flexible approach to working hours is required in relation to finish times, weekends, and bank holidays
- Good Communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Good Knowledge of driver’s hours, rules, and regulations
- Minimum of 6 months HGV driving experience
- Previous experience working in the waste industry
