Due to our continual growth, we are looking to appoint a Driver Helper to join our busy Logistics Team. This role will be based out of the Belfast depot.
Responsibilities
- To provide assistance to the Driver at all times.
- Obtain all necessary documentation for the daily runs to ensure efficient operation of the business activities.
- Check customer routing for the daily runs, prioritising workloads to ensure all customer commitments are achieved.
- Provide excellent customer service that supports the RiverRidge brand.
- Due to the physical nature of the role, you will be required to collect and move commercial containers.
- Ensure all electronic paperwork is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ensure Health & Safety adherence at all times.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Any other duties as delegated by the Transport Department.
Skills and Qualifications
- Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence (Max 6 penalty points).
- Good Geographical knowledge of NI.
- Good Communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Experience in dealing with customers and members of the public.
- Ability to work well with others / Team Player.
- Must be able to apply Manual Handling techniques.
- Flexible approach to working hours to include weekends and Bank Holidays.
- Previous experience working in a similar role.
- Previous experience working within the Transport Sector.
Further Information
- As a AM shift drivers helper, you will start at 5:30am based from Duncrue site, Monday to Friday, with Saturdays required, on a rota basis.
- Competitive Hourly Rate £12.80.
- Annual Bonus scheme available.
- Overtime rate of Time and a Half for hours worked over 44 hours Mon-Fri.
- Saturday and Bank Holiday rate of Time and a Half.
- 28 days Annual leave incl of 8 Customary and Bank Holidays.
- Company pension scheme.
