Sell something you believe in and become a Riverford Ambassador. For 40 years, our organic veg boxes have been rooted in ethics, sustainability, and great tasting food. As an employee-owned business, you won’t just work here — you’ll be a co-owner, with a real voice in shaping our future. Our award-winning sales team is proud of what we do. Success here is about purpose, people, and welcoming more households to organic food.

What You’ll Get

  • £29,869 per year, plus uncapped commission OTE: £38,000–£40,000
  • Profit share for all co-owners
  • Summer & Christmas gatherings as a team
  • Various Learning & Development opportunities
  • Ethical pension – matched to 5%
  • Free wellbeing support
  • 33 days’ holiday, including a festive break
  • Free organic fruit & veg and 30% off your own orders

Where You’ll Be

You’ll be based out of our Warninglid distribution hub: Old Grain Store, Warninglid Lane, Horsham RH13 6NY. There will be an expectation to travel further afield with overnight stays, as and when required with notice. A full UK driving licence is essential — you’ll be out in one of our branded “Live Life on the Veg” VW electric vans most days.

What the Role Looks Like

You’ll spend most days out in the field — on busy high streets, at train stations, markets and major foodie/wellbeing events - engaging customers face to face. You’ll set up eye-catching stands, start great conversations and confidently guide people to sign up for their first Riverford order there and then. That conversion of interest into actual new customers is the core measure of success in this role. To set you up properly, every new starter begins with an all-expenses-paid trip to our main farm in Devon, where you’ll kick off your sales journey with hands-on, farm-based training. You’ll learn the product inside out, sharpen your sales skills and hit the ground running with ongoing coaching and support. This is a role for people who enjoy targets, connecting with people and results. Your performance is rewarded with uncapped commission, so the more customers you convert, the more you earn!

Working Hours

This role comes with varied working hours, reflecting the range of locations and events you’ll work across. Some days start earlier or finish later than others, depending on where you’re selling and what’s on the calendar. Rather than a rigid daily schedule, we take a proactive approach to managing hours over a four-week rolling period, ensuring your average working time sits at around 40 hours per week. Weekend working is a key part of the role, as this is when our busiest events take place and when you’ll have the greatest opportunity to connect with customers and maximise your earnings.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Friendly, confident people who enjoy talking to others
  • Motivated self-starters who like meeting targets
  • Passionate about sustainability, great food, and doing good work
  • Team players who want to grow and be part of something meaningful
  • Backgrounds in events, hospitality, retail, or similar all work well here.

Application Process

We’re starting first stage calls soon and would love you to apply. Our virtual recruitment process is flexible, supportive, and true to our values. Other organisations might call this role: Sales Executive, Field Sales Executive, Business Development Executive, or Sales Consultant.
