This role is a Permanent contract, 40 hours per week, working Sunday - Thursday 6am - 2.30pm. Location: Dean Court Warehouse 1, Dean Court, Lower Dean, TQ11 0LT. Pay: £14.36 per hour.
What you’ll be doing… As our Warehouse Senior Operative, you will closely support the Wholesale Site Manager in delivering the day’s requirements for the Wholesale operational function. Working as part of the team, you will help to ensure that wholesale orders are picked, packed and presented to a high standard, maintaining quality, accuracy and efficiency throughout the shift. You will be key in keeping the team motivated to achieve targets for the day, communicating positively when pace needs to increase and working with other departments to solve problems or keep them up to date with any issues. This role is heavily focused on being present on the warehouse floor, working directly with the team, preparing and fulfilling customer orders while ensuring daily/weekly activities run smoothly and efficiently. You will play a key role in training and onboarding new team members, providing regular coaching and guidance, and helping individuals develop their skills and confidence in their roles.
Please note: The job title for this role is Warehouse Senior Operative for external recruitment purposes. Within the business, this position is referred to as Skilled Operative.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience of working within a production, warehouse, or operational environment.
- Able to demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills.
- Good time management and organisation skills.
- Able to work in an accurate and methodical manner.
- Willingness to develop your knowledge further.
- Experience of using IT systems including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and stock management systems.
- Forklift certification preferred; full training provided if required.
