As a Delivery Driver at Riverford, you're more than just a pair of hands on the wheel. You're the friendly face of our veg box delivery service, bringing fresh, organic produce from field to doorstep. Each day, you'll deliver 70 or more boxes, treating every one with care and helping us build strong relationships with our community of customers. Riverford are mad about organic veg. We love to grow it, pack it into boxes, and deliver it to around 70,000 homes across the UK every week.
Responsibilities
- Deliver 70 or more boxes per day, handling each with care and ensuring timely delivery to customers' doors.
- Cover relief driving rounds, which may involve unfamiliar routes and occasional overnight stays.
- Work independently to maintain service quality and support a team dedicated to good food, farming and ethical operations.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence and own transport to get to the hub.
- Experience driving a 3.5‑tonne van and multi‑drop delivery (70+ drops per day preferred).
- Good knowledge of the local area.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
Working Hours
This is a permanent contract, 40 hours per week. Working Monday‑Friday, inclusive of Bank Holidays. Start and finish times vary, usually arriving at the hub between 4 am and 6 am and finishing when all veg boxes have been delivered.
Compensation
£18.07 per hour.
Location
Riverford – 133‑135 New Covent Garden, 9 Elms Lane, Battersea, London SW8 5NX. Candidates should live within a 30‑minute commute of the hub.
Additional Information
We are in the process of swapping diesel vans to electric, with the goal of having 100% electric vans for low‑emission deliveries.
