Canteen Team Member in Buckfastleigh

The work is varied and you will be doing a number of different tasks; veg prep, assisting others create dishes, serving customers, payment handling, keeping the kitchen clean and assisting the Canteen chefs in other tasks.

This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and creative person to work in a company where good food is what we\’re all about. We are open on Sundays so availability for most of those days is a requirement for the role although we\’re closed on Saturdays and Friday is a quiet day.

What You\’ll Bring…

• Professional and catering experience in a similar establishment preferable
• Food Hygiene and/or professional cookery qualification desirable
• Good customer service skills
• A genuine passion and interest for food and cooking with fresh, seasonal ingredients

This role is a Permanent contract

39 hours per week – Working 5 varying shifts over Sunday to Friday, 7am to 2.30pm or 11am to 7pm, which is inclusive of Bank Holidays.

£12.65 per hour

What you\’ll be doing…

Our canteen provides our busy teams with healthy, fresh, organic meals which Riverford subsidises heavily. This makes it one of our most popular Co-Owner benefits. We serve breakfast & lunch 6 days per week and an early evening meal Sunday-Thursday.

Working as part of a small team you will help to produce and serve tasty meals for breakfast and lunch made with fantastic ingredients sourced from around the farm. Our food is simple, but really tasty.
