Delivering even greener veg: We’re in the process of swapping diesel vans to electric, with the ambitious goal of being 100% electric vans for low‑emission deliveries to our customers!

Pay and Hours:

  • Pay: £12.65 – £13.11 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Paid weekly, with overtime available. Any hours worked beyond the contracted 39 per week are paid at time and a half.
  • Contract: This role is a 6‑Month Fixed Term contract, 39 hours per week – Working 5 days per week, inclusive of Bank Holidays.
  • Location: Riverford Organic Farmers Ltd, Wash Farm, Buckfastleigh, Devon, TQ11 0JU

What You’ll Be Doing: If you enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions and thrive in a team environment, we invite you to join us in the rewarding journey from planting to harvesting our organic vegetables. As part of our dedicated farm team based at Wash Farm, Buckfastleigh, you’ll contribute to our mission of farming sustainably, protecting the environment, and providing top‑quality organic produce. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of seasonal crops, while also participating in vital farm tasks such as planting, weeding, and moving crop covers.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience of working on a farm would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Physical ability to cope with the demands of outdoor work in all weathers.
  • Tractor driving experience is preferred.
  • Manual role requiring lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling crates of produce up to 10 kg.
  • Good communication skills; able to speak and understand English to a level that enables you to comprehend instructions and the daily requirements of the role.
