Work with us at Riverford and join a thriving employee‑owned business as a Production Operative. Be part of an inclusive and friendly production team that works with organic vegetables, packing them into boxes and delivering them to around 70,000 homes across the UK every week. This role is a permanent contract, 39 hours per week, working Sunday to Thursday (inclusive of Bank Holidays). Pay is £13.90 per hour, plus an additional 71p per hour when hours exceed 8 pm. Location: Wash Farm, Buckfastleigh, Devon, TQ11 0JU.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You will use your initiative and attention to detail to ensure that only the best produce is packed into veg and recipe boxes.
  • You will also ensure that the most robust, cleanest packaging is recycled, and may be asked to help in other departments or keep the production area clean and tidy.
  • You must be enthusiastic and keen to work as part of a team to get the job done.

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience in a production or warehousing environment.
  • Comfortable working in a cold environment.
  • Ability to lift and manoeuvre crates of produce and veg boxes.
  • Good communication skills and ability to speak and understand English to a level that enables you to comprehend instructions and the daily requirements of the role.
  • Accurate and efficient.
