Riverbank Academy currently have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join the team, supporting teaching staff with responsibility for the development and educational provision of learners., You'll be responsible for providing structured support and guidance in the development of our students' academic and individual needs, providing in-class support to our teachers and delivery practitioners, also assisting with the tutorial program as a co-tutor., As an SEN Learning Support Assistant within Riverbank Academy, you'll be able to build upon your existing skill set within a supportive environment, with professional development, training, and career progression opportunities available.
- A minimum of 2 GCSEs or equivalent at C (4/5) grade or above, including English and Maths
- Qualification to A level (AS/level) standard. desirable
- Ability to support students aged from 11-19 in moving and handling and personal care
- Experience working with groups of young people with complex SEND, preferably of secondary age
- Experience of leading lessons within a community, mainstream or special school context
- Ability to be empathetic and understanding to the needs of students
