With our move into a bright new office in South London, we’re expanding our events team and looking for confident, motivated people who are ready to take the next step in their career.

At River, we specialise in face-to-face customer acquisition through live event campaigns, representing well-known UK clients in high-footfall locations. We create opportunities for people to develop practical skills, build confidence, and grow within a supportive, performance-led environment.

This is an on-site, events-based role — not door-to-door. As an Events Assistant, you’ll be part of our live campaign team, helping to set up and run pop-up event spaces while engaging directly with customers on behalf of our clients.

You’ll be representing brands in a professional and positive way, creating strong first impressions, and helping customers understand our clients’ campaigns, products, services, and values. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys speaking to people, wants to build confidence, and is looking for a career path with real development potential.

  • Supporting the set-up and smooth running of event spaces
  • Sharing clear information about our clients’ campaigns, products, and services
  • Representing client brands with energy, pride, and professionalism
  • Building practical skills in sales, communication, customer service, and brand representation
  • Taking part in training sessions, coaching, and development workshops
  • Open to coaching, training, and feedback
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving event environment

Previous experience in sales, events, customer service, hospitality, retail, promotions, or marketing can be helpful, but it is not essential.

Base pay plus performance-based commission. Full training provided from day one. Ongoing mentorship and professional development. Clear progression opportunities based on performance and development. Hands-on experience across events, sales, customer engagement, and brand representation. A bright new South London office environment. Optional team nights, travel opportunities, and incentives. Opportunities to progress into areas such as leadership, recruitment, marketing, client liaison, campaign coordination, and operations.

That’s why we invest in training, promote from within, and give people the opportunity to take on more responsibility as they grow.

Full-time and part-time available. On-site able to commute to our office in Vauxhall, events-based. Training: Full training provided.
