River Stewardship Company is looking for a proactive Site Supervisor to take ownership of day-to-day site activity and help deliver high-quality environmental works across Sheffield and beyond.
What you will be doing:
- Lead and coordinate daily site operations, allocating tasks and guiding the site team.
- Deliver briefings, toolbox talks and inductions; keep standards high on safety and housekeeping.
- Oversee specialist operatives/contractors to ensure quality and productivity.
- Maintain compliance with RAMS, site rules and H&S legislation; act fast on hazards/near misses.
- Complete site paperwork and provide clear updates, reports and photos to the Project Manager.
- Represent the company professionally with stakeholders (e.g., Environment Agency, local authorities, landowners, members of the public).
What we are looking for:
- Experience leading a team on site and communicating clearly.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weathers and in a physical/manual handling environment.
- Strong health & safety mindset and confidence working to specification, programme and quality standards.
- Reliable, punctual and happy to both follow and give instructions.
- Hold a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months, with no more than 5 penalty points, in line with fleet insurance requirements.
- Willing to travel to other sites, including occasional overnight stays (and call-out when required).
