We are currently looking for HGV Drivers (C) to join our busy teams at our site in Portadown. As a Driver, you will be required to complete multi-drop deliveries and collections throughout NI. The Driver will also be required to collect and move commercial containers when required. As a day shift driver, you will work Monday to Friday, with Saturdays required on a rota basis.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Ensure excellent customer service skills that support the RiverRidge Brand
  • Ensure Health & Safety adherence at all times
  • Complete vehicle checks in line with Operating licence procedures, reporting any defects to the Transport Office (both electronically and verbally)
  • Follow all regulations relating to driver's hours and safe operation of heavy goods vehicles
  • Work collaboratively with the transport team to ensure excellent operational service is maintained and continually improved
  • Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Undertake all necessary training and cooperate with the security clearance process as required
  • Any other duties as delegated by the Transport Department

Essential Criteria

  • Must hold a valid HGV licence - Category 'C'
  • Must hold a Digital Tachograph card and Full Driver CPC
  • Full UK Driving Licence (Max of 6 penalty points)
  • Basic disclosure checks i.e., Access NI, will be required and should be maintained
  • Ability to undertake manual work
  • Flexible approach to working hours is required in relation to finish times, weekends, and bank holidays
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Team Player
  • Good Communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Good Knowledge of driver's hours, rules, and regulations

Desirable Criteria

  • Minimum of 6 months HGV driving experience
  • Previous experience working in the waste industry

Any offer of employment will be subject to a successful driving assessment. Must be able to provide documentation to confirm your eligibility to work in the UK.
