We are currently looking to appoint a Process Plant Operator who will be responsible for processing operations within our waste plant. Duties will also include first line operations support within the plant, monitoring of plant equipment and responding accordingly to any faults and Quality Control of on-site materials.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Prioritise tasks to ensure maximum plant utilisation.
- Ensure all equipment is kept in good condition and stored correctly.
- Carry out preventative maintenance on plant equipment as required in a timely manner.
- Liaise closely with other shifts and Manager to ensure all outstanding issues are addressed.
- Work closely with the Manager to report on progress and highlight potential issues.
- Ensure all work undertaken is done so in accordance with the company policy and in a safe manner, in line with Health and Safety guidelines.
- Loading and unloading of material, as and when required.
- Operating various machines on site to include mobile machinery such as forklifts and Loading Shovels.
- Responsibility to ensure departmental housekeeping is of a high standard.
- Monitoring computerised plant controls and responding accordingly to faults.
- Quality Control, as required, to ensure effective process control and measurement.
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks as required by Management.
- Contribute to the decision-making process regarding level of spares / equipment.

Essential Criteria:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Be IT literate.
- Excellent Team Player.
- Ability to use own initiative.
- Reliable.
- Must be willing to work shift patterns to include weekends, Bank Holidays and additional hours to meet needs of business.
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous Experience working in a similar industry.
- Hold a valid licence for operating one of the following machines: Telescopic Forklift, Counterbalance Forklift or Loading shovel.
