We are currently looking for full time HGV Drivers (C) to join our busy teams at our site in Duncrue Street, Belfast. As a Driver you will be required to complete multi drop deliveries and collections throughout NI. The Driver will also be required to collect and move commercial containers when required.
As an AM shift Driver, you will start at 05:30am based from Duncrue site, Monday to Friday, with Saturdays required, on a rota basis.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Ensure excellent customer service skills that support the RiverRidge Brand
- Ensure Health & Safety adherence at all times
- Complete vehicle checks in line with Operating licence procedures, reporting any defects to the Transport Office (both electronically and verbally)
- Follow all regulations relating to driver's hours and safe operation of heavy goods vehicles
- Work collaboratively with the transport team to ensure excellent operational service is maintained, and continually improved
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Undertake all necessary training, & cooperate with the security clearance process as required
- Any other duties as delegated by the Transport Department
Essential Criteria
- Must hold a valid HGV licence - Category 'C'
- Must hold a Digital Tachograph card and Full Driver CPC
- Full UK Driving Licence (Max of 6 penalty points)
- Basic disclosure checks i.e., Access NI, will be required and should be maintained
- Ability to undertake manual work
- Flexible approach to working hours is required in relation to finish times, weekends, and bank holidays
- Excellent customer service skills
- Team Player
- Good Communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Good Knowledge of driver's hours, rules, and regulations
Desirable Criteria
- Minimum of 6 months HGV driving experience
- Previous experience working in the waste industry
Any offer of employment will be subject to a successful driving assessment. Must be able to provide documentation to confirm your eligibility to work in the UK.
