- Have experience of working with children across the primary phase including those with additional needs.
- Be fully committed to the role of working with a child with additional needs on a one-to-one basis.
- Have the skills to support the learning, social interaction and welfare of individual pupils with a range of needs.
- Support the class teacher to provide the best opportunities and outcomes for the child.
- Be motivated, flexible and understanding.
- Have a willingness and enthusiasm to develop new skills.
