The Senior Production Controller will plan and lead the end-to-end production process, ensuring timely, efficient, and cost-effective manufacturing of garments that meet our RI standards for quality and customer satisfaction. This role requires excellent organisational skills, a deep understanding of garment production, and the ability to manage complex workflows across multiple teams.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, create, manage, and maintain detailed production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Lead production operations, ensuring deadlines and standards are met. Resolve any production issues or delays quickly to minimize impact.
- Ensure garments are planned in the correct factory and location, with competitive prices and high quality standards.
- Balance RI demand, production capacity, and material availability to optimize the production process and provide flexibility.
- Lead speed-to-market initiatives and test & react models for RI to achieve fast-track deliveries.
- Liaise with fabric suppliers, production teams, and logistics to ensure smooth coordination of materials, labour, and equipment.
- Act as a key communicator for the Buying, Design, and Merchandising teams.
- Oversee trim buying and cloth orders to ensure the best prices, and avoid shortages and overstocking.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and compliance regulations.
- Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in production planning and departmental processes.
- Monitor production performance, identify inefficiencies, and implement strategies for process and profit improvements.
- Prepare and present weekly reports on production progress and issues to senior management.
- Lead and mentor team members, providing guidance and training to enhance overall team performance.
