The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.

As Reward Partner, you will lead and deliver the key Reward policies, processes, activities and projects. As a Reward expert your work will support the attraction and retention of talent on the Island. You will be accountable for Reward activity such as company car management, annual Pay/Bonus reviews, benchmarking activity and Gender Pay Gap Reporting (UK and ROI).

You will partner with key members of our People team, providing expert advice and delivering a robust benefits offering to our employees. You will also line manage a Reward Administrator for support in the day to day provision of benefits to our Islanders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor the efficiency and impact of existing benefits matrix, making recommendations for change that are competitive and cost-effective
  • Design and maintain our salary structure, including salary bands and ranges for different job positions; ensuring all compensation-related policies and frameworks meet legislative requirements
  • Overseeing effective NMW uplifts, annual pay reviews, annual bonus cycle and LTIP processes including scheme rules, pay modelling and communications
  • Ensure the River Island car fleet is safe, appropriate, cost efficient and meets our ESG goals; owning vendor relationships to drive competitiveness; ownership of policy maintenance
  • Accountable for Gender pay reporting for UK and ROI; ensuring accurate timely reporting, and the creation of insightful, commercially-focused reports
  • Provide insight into future reporting requirements, ensuring appropriate capability and systems requirements are in-place to facilitate this eg Ethnicity pay gap reporting
  • Review and maintain sufficient data provision for external role benchmarking (eg Alan Jones, Radford, WTW)
  • Own supplier relationships and ensure competitive renewals for all benefits providers including but not limited to PMI, flu jabs, benefits platform, pensions broker
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement to processes, systems and reports to improve automation and drive efficiencies
  • Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders across the business and group including pensions, finance, tax and internal audit when delivering changes to reward provision
  • Manage, support and guide a Reward Administrator to provide day-to-day support for the People Team and individuals across all benefits and compensation provisions

Ideal skills and experience:

  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Detailed market knowledge of reward landscape
  • Knowledge of reward-related legislation and reporting obligations
  • Strong attention to detail and advanced analytical skills
  • Able to write succinct reports drawing out cost benefits and people impacts
  • Adept at using HRIS (Oracle experience would be advantageous) and reporting
  • Understanding of key employment taxes relating to reward and benefits e.g. BIK
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Line management capability
