Role Description
The Residential Surveyor is a full-time, on-site role. In this position, the surveyor conducts detailed inspections of residential properties, prepares accurate valuation reports, and identifies structural and maintenance issues. Day-to-day tasks include assessing property condition, compiling clear and compliant survey documentation, and providing evidence-based recommendations to clients and stakeholders. The role also involves liaising with clients, estate agents, and other professionals, managing appointments, and ensuring that all work adheres to relevant industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications
- Strong residential surveying skills, including property inspection, defect identification, and report writing.
- Proficiency in property valuation methods and market analysis for residential real estate.
- Knowledge of building regulations, construction methods, and health and safety practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client-facing work and professional collaboration.
- Good organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple surveys and deadlines.
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., RICS accredited degree or equivalent) and progress toward or attainment of chartered status is highly beneficial.
- Previous experience in residential surveying, valuations, or building consultancy is an advantage.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Greater London and nearby areas as required.
