River Cottage is a multi-faceted business with a restaurant, cookery school, accommodation and an events space hosting weddings, parties, and corporate events. This role of HR Manager will report to the Chief Executive and will be responsible for managing all aspects of HR within the business, including payroll, as well as coordinating and overseeing staff training, health and safety.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the recruitment of new staff, assisting the recruiting manager to ensure brand alignment, and collating CVs.
- Provide up-to-date advice and assistance to the senior management team regarding employment law within the workplace.
- Manage recruitment advertising.
- Ensure that the onboarding process is comprehensive and is completed for all new starters.
- Contract administration, including preparation of offer letters, contracts of employment, and future changes to terms.
- Maintain the HR systems by ensuring all data, personnel files, and all documentation is uploaded and up to date.
- Ensure Managers carry out all relevant staff training and quarterly staff appraisals.
- Record all Training and Health.
