We are actively recruiting for Band 6 Sisters/Charge Nurses to the Acute Assessment Unit at Royal Liverpool hospital. We are looking for RNs who have experience in Acute Medicine. We believe in excellent patient care and would like to recruit experienced, dynamic individuals who believe in our trust values and will ensure that every patient receives exceptional patient care.

We are family friendly and flexible with shifts and offer a wide range of long days and short shifts across both sites. We have full time and part time positions available. If you are interested please apply today.

Main duties of the job:

  • The work-load throughout the department is very varied and interesting with no two days being the same.
  • The successful candidate must be dynamic, possess excellent communication skills, and have a high sense of professionalism and a strong belief in the value of teamwork.
  • As a Band 6 Nurse you will be offered a comprehensive development package including a period of supernumerary, training and education.
  • You will have access to the departmental education team and have the opportunity to develop and progress your career.
  • You will have the opportunity to work in all the areas of Acute Medicine and will rotate to the Acute Medical Unit, High Care as well as Acute Assessment Area.

Person Specification:

  • Skills: Excellent communication - written / verbal; Demonstrates a flexible approach to team working.
  • Knowledge: Expert clinician; Demonstrates understanding of current issues affecting A&E service provision; Demonstrates innovative approaches to the delivery of healthcare; Demonstrates understanding of Clinical Governance.
  • Experience: Demonstrable experience at band 5.
  • Qualifications: First level nurse RGN; Current NMC registration; ENB 199 / 998; Desirable: ALS / ATNC / TNCC; 1st level Degree.
