An exciting opportunity has opened within our Commercial team for a Commercial Manager to join us in Leeds on a 12-month fixed-term contract. In this key role, you will take ownership of the end-to-end invoicing process across our Graphics Services business, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strong client relationships. You will play a vital part in reducing company risk while helping to drive profitability across assigned projects, contributing directly to the commercial success of the business.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- The primary purpose of the role is to develop, manage and implement all commercial initiatives in line with the business units’ strategic objectives: to drive optimisation, profitability and efficiency of the graphic services business.
- Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for:
- Raising Invoices for all clients in accordance with the relevant customers process to ensure accurate pricing has been applied before submission and recorded on the daybook.
- Lead the pricing and commercial tendering process (RFQ/P’s) to enable the business to grow sales, whilst maximising profitability through to contract agreement. This will require a close working relationship with the sales and operational teams to balance the market price, revenue growth plans and profitability needs of the business unit. For the contract agreement process this will involve working with the relevant legal counsel teams to ensure minimum liability issues and risks for Rivendell – limiting the overall financial exposure.
- Working to identify and implement working capital reduction in line with company expectations, i.e. Debtor Days, WIP and reduce exposure to aged debt.
- Providing accurate forecasting on a weekly basis to support the weekly/monthly reporting processes that exist, using data supplied from our implant & account management teams / own knowledge / historic data, these include: Weekly Flash reports, Monthly Forecast meeting attendance, Daily sales reporting and the monthly BU management reporting.
- Monitoring daily/weekly/monthly sales reported in accordance with the sales forecast and budget.
- Managing the claims process alongside the Business Development Director, Operations Director, Quality Manager and implant teams if/when necessary, to minimise financial risk whilst ensuring key relationships are maintained and reporting back to the Managing Director on key risks.
- Assist with the Purchase Ordering and receipting goods in process.
- Analyses sales and other reports that give insight into how the Graphics Services business can make adjustments to improve performance and profitability.
- Provide support to the Managing Director in carrying out any other duties as agreed.
