About The Role
ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN
Join our team and play a key role in building high-quality cable assemblies, harnesses and electrical sub-assemblies for demanding applications.
We are looking for askilled and motivated Electrical Technicianto join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, has a keen eye for detail and enjoys working in a quality-focused engineering environment.
You’ll be responsible for manufacturing to a very high standard, working in line withMOD and IPC/WHMA-A-620 (IPC620) standards. You’ll also have the opportunity to support a variety of assembly tasks including electro-mechanical assembly of sub-assemblies, enclosures and equipment racks.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manufacturing high-quality cable assemblies and harnesses to specified standards.
- Cable assembly and looming usinglacing techniques and other cable accessories.
- Wiring electrical sub-assemblies and enclosures in accordance with process instructions and technical documentation.
- Assisting with the mechanical assembly of sub-assemblies, enclosures and racks.
- Working toMOD and IPC620 standards, maintaining consistently high levels of quality and workmanship.
- Following company processes, procedures and health & safety requirements.
- Working safely and effectively within anESD-protected environment.
- Maintaining tools and equipment and ensuring tooling is correctly stored using designated shadow boards.
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping and a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Working effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.
About You
We’re looking for someone who isreliable, self-motivated and takes pride in producing work to a high standard.
You will ideally have:
- Experience in cable assembly, wiring, looming or a similar engineering/manufacturing environment.
- A good understanding of quality standards and attention to detail.
- The ability to follow detailed work instructions, drawings and processes.
- Good practical and manual skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- The confidence to work independently and use your own initiative.
- A strong commitment to safety, quality and good housekeeping.
