About The Role

Join our team and play a key role in the manufacture of high-quality electrical assemblies for demanding applications.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Technician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, has a keen eye for detail and enjoys working in a quality-focused engineering environment.

You’ll be responsible for application of Conformal coating to PCB assemblies and cable preparation/assembly to a very high standard, working in line with MOD and IPC/WHMA-A-620 (IPC620) standards . You’ll also have the opportunity to support the wiring and mechanical assembly of sub-assemblies, enclosures and equipment racks.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Prepare PCBa’s for conformal coating application by masking to assembly drawings and notes.
• Apply Conformal Coating to PCBa’s to a high standard following all relevant procedures.
• To build basic assemblies from verbal or written instructions, sketches working drawing or samples when required.
• Cable assembly and looming using lacing techniques and other cable accessories .
• Assisting with the mechanical assembly of sub-assemblies, enclosures and racks.
• Undertaking training and development opportunities in your pursuit of working to MOD and IPC620 standards .
• Performing potting processes.
• Following company processes, procedures and health & safety requirements.
• Working safely and effectively within an ESD-protected environment .
• Maintaining tools and equipment and ensuring tooling is correctly stored using designated shadow boards.
• Maintaining excellent housekeeping and a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Working effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, self-motivated and takes pride in producing work to a high standard .

You will ideally have:

• Experience in electronic assembly or a similar engineering/manufacturing environment.
• A good understanding of quality standards and attention to detail.
• The ability to follow detailed work instructions, drawings and processes.
• Good practical and manual skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
• The confidence to work independently and use your own initiative.
• A strong commitment to safety, quality and good housekeeping.
