Rive Gauche is an innovative and creative interior design company based in Bank, EC4R, Central London. We specialise in high-end residential and luxury hotels in London and globally offering a turnkey service from Interior Architecture, Interior Design, to Project Management. The practice has an established client base in the residential and hospitality sectors and our current portfolio includes a number of projects in the Middle East with Four Seasons as well as luxury residences in Monaco. With several new, exciting projects in the pipeline, including new luxury residences in Dubai and by the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, the studio is continuing to grow rapidly.
We are looking for an exceptional Interior Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a skilled interior designer with 2 - 4 years’ experience in the UK. Experience working on high-end projects either residential, commercial or hospitality with an excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of quality.
Key Responsibilities- CREATIVE
- Create a unique concept including Interior Design & Interior Architecture in accordance with client brief, preparing drawings, mood boards, models and materials boards;
- Develop concepts in 3D using SketchUp, working alongside a small design team;
- Source and select bespoke materials & finishes;
- Create and develop bespoke designs for joinery, chandeliers, carpet, etc through technical drawings and details in collaboration with artisans and craftsman;
- Oversee and assist during the FF&E Creative & Procurement stages: Prepare FF&E budget; Design bespoke FF&E, prepare tender documentation and manage tender process; Source FF&E off-the-shelf pieces; Organise and manage FF&E logistics including quality control & delivery; Select & procure dressing objects, soft furnishings, lamps, etc and dress the property prior to client handover;
- TECHNICAL
- Assist and manage production design information for tender purposes such as finishes schedule, ironmongery schedule, door schedule, etc.
- Ability to design within a given budget liaising with the PM Team;
- Liaise with Rive Gauche technical team to ensure that the design intent is carried through throughout the Detail Design stage;
- Liaise with contractors, consultants and suppliers as necessary during construction to monitor quality and resolve any design issues;
Required experience: Two to four years’ job running experience in the UK. High-end project experience either residential, commercial or hospitality. Refurbishment and new buildings. Knowledge and understanding of bespoke and high-end finishes.
Required skills: Software skills must include: Autocad, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite. Knowledge of UK building regulations, construction technology, UK planning policies and procurement methods. This is a client facing role, the candidate should demonstrate good communication, excellent spoken and written English, and strong organisational skills. A proactive approach to working, (can do attitude), with an ability to take the initiative and drive projects.
