We specialise in high-end residential and luxury hospitality in London and globally, currently working across 6 different countries. We offer a turnkey service from Architecture, Interior Design, to Project Management by providing an end-to-end service, offering clients strategic advice from the early stages of pre-acquisition through to project delivery. Role Description
We are looking for an exceptional Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated with 5+ years’ project management experience in the UK. You will be running multiple projects across the company. Experience working on high-end projects, either residential, commercial or hospitality, with excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of quality is a must. The role will also include being part of the senior management team, ensuring the studio operates successfully across all projects and meets expected deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- General
- Ensure efficient communication and information flow between the project team.
- Prepare and issue regular reports to the stakeholders of the project.
- Monitor the performance of the Professional Team and Rive Gauche Team.
- Ensure Rive Gauche Team meet project milestones and have a sound understanding of the weekly project tasks generally across the studio.
- Prepare PEP (Project Execution Plan) including but not limited to:
- Structure and procedure for Project, design and construction.
- Agree Project reporting and recording procedures.
- Establish the roles and responsibilities of the Client, the Professional Team.
- Manage the development and coordination of the design up to tender stage with the assistance of the project team.
- Ensure that information produced by the project team and Rive Gauche are fully coordinated and in line with the employer’s requirements.
- Produce initial budget and programme based on the design intent and employer’s requirements.
- Manage and update with the support of the Principal team the programme and cost plan through the Pre-Construction Stage.
- Prepare procurement strategy in line with the project objective for the project team.
- Advise on tendering and contractual procurement options.
- Manage and coordinate the tender process.
- Prepare and issue recommendations.
- Check applications for payment, review valuation and issue payment recommendations.
- Oversee the tender process with the assistance of the Professional Team which includes:
- Invite potential contractors to prepare and submit tender.
- Obtain responses to the tender.
- Compare responses to the tender regarding quality and quantity, unit prices and discounts, cost effectiveness, and manner of performance, as well as regarding work organization and deadlines.
- Manage and monitor the development of the Design and project coordination during the construction stage.
- Manage Rive Gauche team activities in line with the project requirements.
- Coordinate and manage the approval of construction information between the project stakeholders.
- Be proactive in providing solutions to site issues.
- Contract Administration activities for consultants and contractors.
- Manage and monitor all variations and advise on programme and budget implications.
- Implement processes to monitor and manage the progress of the project including design, programme, cost and statutory requirements.
- Chair site meetings with the project team weekly and produce minutes of meetings.
- Produce project reports and monitor team performance.
- Prepare a handover plan, identifying the roles and responsibilities of stakeholders.
- Ensure projects within the studio are meeting key milestones.
- Keep the Head of Project Management informed of the key weekly tasks across the studio and ensure the Rive Gauche Team keep on track in terms of project deliverables.
- Ensure project timelines are clearly structured across the studio and understood by the Rive Gauche Team.
- Assist the senior management team in ensuring projects are adequately resourced in line with project timelines and deliverables.
- Assist more junior staff with project management and technical queries as required.
Required experience:
- Five years’+ project management experience in the UK.
- High-end project experience either residential, commercial or hospitality.
- Contract values between £1m and £15m.
- Refurbishment and new buildings.
- Knowledge and understanding of bespoke and high-end finishes.
