Rivan Industries (Rivan.com) is a vertically integrated synthetic fuel company designed to decarbonise industries that can’t be electrified. Over the past 2 years, we’ve designed and manufactured a modular synthetic fuel plant consisting of a DAC system, an Alkaline Electrolyser, and a Sabatier Reactor, vertically integrating with off-grid DC solar and the European gas grid. We’ve recently deployed the UK’s largest synthetic fuel plant and are planning to 1000x this scale in the next 2 years. We now have a clear line of sight to producing synthetic fuels cheaper than fossil fuels over the next 5-10 years, becoming the first company in history to achieve this feat.

We’re looking for a Talent Lead with the scar tissue to build a world-class application generation and processing function, so we can meet our exponential manufacturing and deployment targets without compromising talent density. We operate within tough boundary conditions and only hire the top 0.1% of engineers and operators from 10,000s of applicants each year, so we need someone technically minded but operationally elite, who wants to take on the hardest challenges we face in scaling from 50-500 people. If you urge to make a difference in the real world, surrounded by people you admire doing great work with intensity, this is for you.

The role:

  • Design, build, operate and own company-critical sourcing, assessment and conversion processes.
  • Designing pipeline architecture and assessment flows for hiring velocity while maximising signal and consistency.
  • Architecting and implementing improvements to our custom-built funnels and tracking systems.
  • Managing complex multi-role hiring searches, managing internal and external recruiter resources.
  • Building cross-company workflows to integrate our recruitment function with engineering, manufacturing, deployment and finance functions, to drive elite company-wide execution.
  • Building communities and events that attract top engineers, operators, investors, politicians and commercial partners.

Core skills:

  • Operational experience building general or recruitment functions in a venture-backed environment, or experience identifying and curating communities of outlier Talent.
  • Have lots of interesting side projects you tinker on, have written about, or are generally curious to work on.

Specifics:

  • £70-100k salary depending on experience.
  • Significant share options as part of the early team.
  • In-person work at our HQ in Bermondsey, South-East London – flexibility considered based on personal circumstances.
  • Extensive relocation support, including £6000 per year extra to live close to our HQ.
  • Private health insurance.

We encourage exceptional applicants from all backgrounds to apply for this role, even if they do not meet all the requirements listed.
