Role Description
The Lighting Buyer role is a full-time hybrid position based at our Leeds HQ, with flexibility to work from home 1-day per week.
This role is responsible for designing, sourcing and buying lighting products that align with our brands.
The Lighting Buyer will review sales data, analyze market trends, and collaborate closely with our buying, design, brand & merchandising teams to deliver our lighting range.
The role also involves maintaining strong supplier relationships, supporting cost and margin objectives, and contributing to continuous improvement across the lighting category.
You will report into our Head of Buying.
Requirements
- At least 3 years commercial experience as a Lighting Buyer.
- Your own supply base of competitive factories you can bring into Riva's supply chain.
- Strong commercial and analytical skills, including confidence with sales data, pricing, margins, and demand forecasting.
- Ability to build and maintain supplier relationships
- Organized and detail-focused, able to manage multiple ranges, timelines, and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and contribute to team decisions.
- Willingness to travel domestically and abroad for exhibitions and sourcing trips.
- Awareness of Lighting legislation and regulation to help support our Technologist department.
