We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Colorectal and Stoma Care Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join our Digestive Diseases Unit on a 9‐month fixed‐term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of London's most respected private hospitals, supporting the delivery of high‐quality, specialist nursing care for patients with complex colorectal conditions and stoma management needs. In this role, you will manage your own caseload, working across both inpatient and outpatient settings, assess, plan, and deliver expert care while providing specialist advice and guidance to patients, families, and colleagues. The position combines clinical leadership, patient education, and service development, with a strong focus on improving patient experience and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver specialist nursing advice and care for patients with colorectal disease and stoma needs.
- Lead on the development, implementation, and evaluation of care pathways and clinical guidelines.
- Provide expert clinical support to nursing and medical colleagues in complex cases.
- Facilitate nurse‐led clinics and patient education sessions.
- Undertake audit, review, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Support and mentor junior nursing staff, contributing to professional development across the unit.
- Participate in service development to ensure best practice and continuity of high‐quality care.
Skills And Experience
- Registered Nurse (Adult) with current NMC registration.
- Minimum 5 years' experience within colorectal or stoma care nursing.
- Recognised qualification in stoma care is desirable.
- Proven ability to provide complex clinical advice and manage a specialist caseload.
- Strong leadership, communication, and teaching skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence‐based practice.
