My client, a busy student accommodation company, requires an efficient temporary skilled labourer to assist with reactive repairs and maintenance at one of their student accommodation sites.
Job duties can include:
- Undertaking reactive maintenance tasks to high standards, including basic plumbing, joinery, carpentry, painting, and decorating where necessary.
- Moving furniture and heavy items across the buildings.
- Maintaining lighting and conducting statutory testing.
- Responding appropriately to health and safety matters.
- Managing electronic maintenance reports and updating them as needed.
- Maintaining stock levels and informing management when tools and materials need to be ordered.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in repairs and maintenance in domestic residential environments or as a general builder/residential construction worker in trades such as plumbing, electrical work, or carpentry.
- Ability to work well independently or as part of a team.
- Awareness of Health & Safety requirements.
