Our client, a thriving student accommodation provider, is searching for a proactive and reliable Temporary Handyman to support their on-site team with day-to-day repairs and general maintenance. This assignment is expected to last for a month, with the potential to make a real impact from day one.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carrying out a range of reactive maintenance tasks to a high standard, including basic plumbing, joinery, carpentry, and occasional painting/decorating.
- Moving furniture and handling heavier items across the site as needed.
- Maintaining lighting, completing statutory checks, and ensuring safe, functional spaces.
- Responding effectively to health & safety issues.
- Keeping maintenance reports updated using electronic systems.
- Monitoring stock levels and notifying management when materials, tools, or equipment need replenishing.
What we’re looking for:
- Hands-on experience within residential repairs/maintenance or a background in trades such as plumbing, electrical work, or carpentry.
- Handyman/Caretaker/Maintenance/Trade experience.
- Someone equally comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
- A strong awareness of health & safety standards.
- A positive, can-do attitude with good initiative.
