A leading Build-to-Rent property company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Operative to join the team at one of Manchester's most prestigious luxury apartment developments. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a high-performing team responsible for delivering an exceptional resident experience within a premium residential environment. You will play a key role in ensuring the building, apartments, and communal amenities are maintained to the highest possible standard.

The Role

As Maintenance Operative, you will carry out a wide range of repair and maintenance duties across the development, ensuring all works are completed efficiently, safely, and to an excellent standard. Responsibilities will include:

  • General maintenance, repairs, and fault finding
  • Basic plumbing, joinery, painting & decorating, and electrical works
  • Reactive and planned preventative maintenance
  • Preparing apartments for new residents
  • Supporting health & safety compliance and building checks
  • Working closely with contractors and onsite teams
  • Maintaining high standards across all resident and communal areas

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role
  • Good all-round maintenance skills
  • Strong understanding of health & safety practices
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • A proactive and customer-focused approach
  • Trade qualifications in plumbing, electrical, or joinery are advantageous

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 8am–5pm or 9am–6pm
1 in 3 Saturdays (8am–5pm) on a rota basis
When a Saturday is worked, a Friday off in lieu is provided the following week
