Locum Phlebotomist – London W1 £14.50ph, ad hoc/bank shifts. Ongoing. We are seeking an experienced and professional Phlebotomist to support the team at this reputable private clinic. In this role, you will perform phlebotomy procedures and related duties within the phlebotomy department, ensuring efficiency and delivering exceptional quality of service at all times. You will work in compliance with company standards, national guidelines, and all relevant policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect venous blood samples, swabs, body fluids, and tissue from patients of all ages in accordance with documented procedures.
  • Provide compassionate care for patients who may be anxious or become unwell during procedures.
  • Maintain service levels regarding number of patients per day.
  • Complete extended procedures and associated documentation, including paternity and drug testing.
  • Ensure compliance with UKAS, CQC, Health & Safety, and infection control guidelines.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold data protection standards.
  • Represent the company positively and communicate in a professional, friendly manner.

About You

  • Phlebotomy Competency Certificate (essential).
  • Minimum 12 months phlebotomy experience within a UK healthcare setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience of using clinical software.
  • Flexible, motivated, and committed to meeting targets and deadlines.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as required.
  • DBS check required.
