Job Description

I am currently recruiting for a permanent Maintenance Operative to come on board and work with my client, the largest housing provider for second- and third-year university students. The company has over 900 large properties in 24 cities around the UK.  Their aim is to assure students a comfortable and exceptional living experience with the most modern appliances, high quality and attractive furnishings and fittings and the best use of available space during their time studying.

The role is based in the City of Exeter.\\n\\nYou will be working at the forefront of the business with daily interaction with our student customers. Other duties include (but not subject to)\\n\\nProvide high standard repairs, maintenance and decorating across a portfolio of high-quality student houses.\\nComplete planned and reactive maintenance works within the property budget.\\nUndertake periodic health & safety checks and property inspections.\\nCarry out statutory compliance inspections if required.\\nEnsuring the security and general appearance of the properties and gardens are maintained in accordance with the required standards.\\nManaging maintenance and any third-party contractor works to a consistently high standard.\\nEnergy and utility management including meter reading and broadband service management.\\nAssisting with ad-hoc jobs such as delivering keys, assisting tenants that are locked out.\\nBasic seasonal garden maintenance.\\nThis is a busy, varied and hands on role.  To be considered for this role and a possible interview, you need to have experience & skills in the following:\\n\\nExperience of completing repairs and planned maintenance in student/HMO housing.\\nExperience in internal and external painting.\\nSome experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical and decoration desirable.\\nUndertaking periodic health & safety and statutory compliance testing.\\nBroadband & TV issue diagnosis.\\nExcellent communication & customer service skills and enjoys problem solving.\\nAble to diagnose & complete cost-effective repairs in a fast-paced environment.\\nProactive, positive attitude and able to work under own initiative.\\nStrong IT skills with the ability use IOS on iPhone and iPad and experience with Microsoft Office 365 – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.\\nStrong organisation and time management with a good attention to detail.\\nAdditional info/ Perks of the job/company\\n\\nCompany iPhone & iPad provided.\\nUse of company vehicle for commuting\\n25 days per year plus bank holidays\\nmultiple training courses available\\nUniform and PPE is provided.\\nMonthly food and drink allowance.\\nCompany events\\nIf this role interests you and would like to learn more about it and my client, please apply now.\\n\\nMark Bryden\\n\\nRitz Rec Emp Agy
