Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm. Office based

I am recruiting for an Accounts Assistant for a company that is going through a growth period.

The role would suit someone that has a minimum of 12 months accounts experience and is used to working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Recording of purchase invoices on Sage
  • Supplier statement reconciliation
  • Weekly cash tracking across all stores within the company
  • Preparation of reports for management on a weekly basis
  • Dealing with suppliers, customers and other related parties on an ad hoc basis
  • Daily banking with ad hoc photocopying / filing work
  • Preparation of management accounts, accruals / pre-payments etc.
  • VAT returns
  • Weekly bank reconciliations
  • Weekly petty cash reconciliations

Requirements:

  • A good team player
  • Excellent command of English with a good telephone manner
  • Good PC skills
  • At home in a fast-moving, pressurised environment
  • Efficient & well organised
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Capable of working under pressure with a calm approach
  • Able to plan and prioritise
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
  • CIMA / ACCA study / qualification
